The film ‘I Hate Love Story’ is about Jay Dingers (Imran Khan) and Simran Sharma (Sonam Kapoor). Jay is very playful and adventurous. He is not believed in love and he wants to be a movie maker. He is an assistant director who helps his director by producing a commercial film, but he does not believe in love stories. He wants to make his career in commercial film therefore he works hard to do everything to make all things right.
Simran Sharma has a Gujarati mother and a Punjabi father and she has been pampered by her parents. But she works hard to have an independent career. She believes in romance so much that she starts believing that the things happen only by showing in cinema. She is an art director. But she loves to do the commercial romantic film so much that her life begins to correspond it.
Jay is an assistant director of Veer who is a romantic film maker in Indian Film Industry and Jay does not excite with love life. He is made to work under Simran Sharma who is the production designer of the film. It had to work under Simran Sharma, the production designer of the film. They are totally opposed to each other in their concept of the romance. Simran believes in the dreamy life she loves the romantic love stories. Her life is interrupted by Jay’s disbelief. Their life goes through many turns and twists and the movie they’re making ‘The Love story’ changes their lives.
